Quest 2

Yeah, from what I read it looks as though jailbreak things are limited and not currently being worked on. Wireless connectivity in particular is limited, although Steam Link may be doable. I don't have a vast amount on the headset as I've mainly bought on Steam. It would be nice if some talented soul could pick up the threads now that there's some additional incentive.
As for Facebook, I'd like to drop it now, but it provides a way to stay in touch with some family and old friends around the world. Although I'd swap to an alternative in an instant, I don't think I could persuade everyone.

Hmm, if I was looking to upgrade from the Quest 2 and didn't mind losing my Meta-only games, as a user of Steam for much of my VR stuff, I might be tempted by the Pico 4 Ultra.

No special desire to play the Quest exclusives such as Batman Arkham VR.

On the other hand, ByteDance isn't exactly much of an ethical step-up from Meta. Hey-Ho!

Rumours abound that Valve will release a new set soon, but I don't know if it'd be standalone as they never were before. I wish they'd hurry up, pc-link VR is my particular thing and now MS have ditched WMR I have to not update Windows fully to keep my Reverb G2 going. I want a displayport connection! And at the moment that means Pimax Crystal, which is enormous, not flawless, and expensive.
