You still have 4 to play through. And when you've exhausted the story and the mod community then you can move onto 5, at which point it'll be cheaper.
HTH
So I was all set to buy it, and even got an additional 10% off through some ubisoft club thing. Then I discovered it's $26.40 for console versions, 39.99 for pc. :-@
OK, now it's down to Can.$32 for pc version ... should I wait 'til boxing day and see if it goes down more? If I DON'T buy Batman @ $16, then it's "only" $16!!! by my warped and indefensible math T_T
OH FUCK ME, I GET ANOTHER 20% OFF UBI CLUB DISCOUNT. 8-O$)
Bear in mind it's a one-play job (though they've just announced a DLC that neatly plays off the ending (You should avoid any discussion of the ending as it's massive spoiler territory, which will also necessitate avoiding reading the details of the DLC. Fuck. Play Primal instead. But Valley of the Yeti DLC first).
Yeah, I was just talking about the core game. I can't imagine I'll ever play it again (though I'd quite like to polish my fishing skills, which I never really got the hang of - but I can do that perfectly well in the post game sandbox). The Vietnam total conversion DLC looks like it might be fun.
Yeah I like the looks of the 'Nam dlc, though it's extra cost.
I'm leaning towards the purchase, with the 20% discount it's very close to the price in the thread title. Will hold off another day or two to ponder... what's the sandbox like? FC3's is ace, at least with the mod I put on it. I still play it quite a bit, even though FC4 is slowly edging it out.
Edit:
This review sez the 'nam dlc is worth it, the zombie not (and TBH, it looks like a pimped-out L4D2)
I figger after 4, I'll be ready to give the FC universe a rest* and go back into the Dead Island [-ish] universe...
Dying Light The Following FTW.**
*I'll likely check out VotY when a suitable discount pops up.
** and with the purchase I got two free gog games: Fantasy General, a stupid, $1.99 retro game that I will never play, and Everspace, a $32.99 space blaster that looks like it could be kind of fun.
So gog games now has it's own game wrapper thing like steam and ubi. why can't these motherfuckers learn to get along? Anyhoo downloading 24G DLTF now.
FC5 now on humble for CA$31.81 (it's like 80 bucks in the ubistore, I guess these mofos have yet to figure out how the internet works) ... I think I'll keep waiting on this one.
