"come back later" it says, when you try and actually search for something. Is that the same for everybody else? I don't know what to do!

 

Been like that for months (maybe years). It's probably quite a hit on the server, and was deliberately disabled because of that is my guess. :?

Yeah, I've been getting that for a while. Keep meaning to post but by the time I've tried DDG and/or Google and found other stuff that wasn't what I wanted but still a nice trip down the lane and then I either forget or can't be arsed.

Seems to be working now though, or at least it was about 20 minutes ago, before I found msg:12142.1

It seems to be working here and at our place.

Dunno. I think the error is because the Sphinx/MySQL server that does the searching can't be contacted.

Not sure if that means there's a separate server that gets rebooted or something like an AWS server that exceeds its free limits or something else.

It is working again now though, if only I could remember what it was I was looking for before.

I don't use it much. I'm cruiser. I cruise until I find something I want to read, then kick back and read it. :)
