Dump Trump

I edited the post because I hit "Post" before I was finished. My optical keyboard/mouse no longer works with Mint 17 and I haven't taken the time to find out why, so the old, dirty IBM had to pressed back into service.

So 20 years ago Trump went to a dinner. Maybe he wanted to hobnob with some people he wanted to meet, maybe he thought SF in the peace process (was it, really?) was a Good Thing - maybe he was just around that night.

You lot over there seem to love HRC, being a "woman" and all; shall I post some things about her from years ago (there's lots) that, at the very least on the surface, would damage her standing as a candidate?

Perhaps maybe a better question for you to answer is - for all his warts - why is Trump leading in the polls on the Republican side, and has some new followers from the Left? Is it because he is not a Washington insider, calls it as he sees it and say that Washington politics is the problem with America? I would think that would resonate well with you lot, critical as you are with nearly everything Establishment. Of course, maybe you just like to complain about everything American, steeped as you are with British/European superiority and all that... and with a rabid love for Liberalism.

I may not have the greatest level of love for a lot of politicians (both British and Merkan), however Trump is a racist, biggoted, insulting, sexist, foul-mouthed, insensitive, unpleasant, idiotic turd.

If that's who you want to be your great leader, then your country is in more trouble than you can imagine, and the Mexicans and Syrian refugees are your least worry...

Because people are stupid, and even more so when they're scared.

Heheh! I love how you lot think you have everything down to perfection. Absolutely amazing.

Donald Trump is not much different than Hillary Clinton (a "woman"), and I am quite sure, since she has a vag and wears ugly pantsuits, that you adore her. Donald Trump may say objectionable things, whilst Hillary Clinton does objectionable things. If you don't believe me, ask the 30 or so people who were problematic for her or Bill - oh wait, you can't; they're dead. Oh, well - that's too bad.

Trump likely has appeal with some because he is not a politician. People are tired of the same old, same old Washington. I guess people who really like him figure that he can't be worse than the idiot we have now. Most of the obama supporters have long gone, except for the die hard KoolAid drinkers; it was the same way when Slick Willy's term was nearly up.

The American people are tired of bullshit from their elected officials, and for good reason. The possibility that Trump could be new bullshit does not seem to deter them because they are so tired of the current bullshit. Perhaps it is the pendulum swing at play again.

I suppose Trump does what Trump does because it has apparently worked for him for all these years. He's in a different arena now, but still using the same playbook. Will it change? Perhaps, but right now, he's probably going to stick with what is working right now based on the polls. Trump has shown adaptability over the years to a variety of changing scenarios, one of the reasons he didn't pack it in during his several bankruptcies. There are those who think he will be better at running America than the clowns we have now. I suspect politics is pretty much all clowns any more - and greedy ones at that - as it seems the fox is always guarding the henhouse.

Not surprising you'd find THAT particular graphic.

I suppose you are right, proven by the fact that obama was elected twice.

You're going to have to take a consistent position on whether popularity is a measure of worth.  If Trump's popularity demonstrates his value, then Obama's electoral mandate is twice as worthy.

Why do you keep saying you're sure we like Hillary Clinton? I don't particularly, no. Won't try and speak for everyone else here. I think some of her comments on Syria and refugees have been about as bad as Trump's, for one thing. Good fucking hell though, the idea that he might not be bullshit? hahahahaha.

Thr main reason the repugs hate the Clintons so much is they stole all their 'best' ideas.

Can I correct you on a few things?

I'm not saying I have anything "down to perfection", I'm simply saying that Trump is an awful person who's racist and deplorable views have no place in a modern and progressive society. I'm not talking about the rest of his policies, I'm simply saying he's a deeply unpleasant slimeball.

Incidentally, I live about a 5 minute walk from a local nature reserve in the North of Scotland which he's planning to bulldoze and turn into another golf resort, so I do have much closer experiences with Trump and his ways than you might imagine. His actions and words are not just confined to America you know.

Also, I've never mentioned loving Hilary Clinton, and neither has anyone else for that matter. Please don't fabricate crap like that.

As for the whole situation, it's a lot more simple than you make out. Trump is an idiot, but unfortunately there is a noticeable percentage of Americans who are also idiots and who cannot see how dangerous some of the crap is that he's spouting. That is why he has some support. Thankfully, I also believe that a majority of Americans are intelligent enough to recognise him for the unpleasant and dangerous turd that he is.

I don't think there's a lot of doubt. However he's born to a lot of wealth and power so it won't hold him back too much.

Have we seen today's amusing thing where he appears to have made up a letter for his doctor (or his doctor writes a lot like Trump talks, and opens a letter with "To Whom My Concern") to say he's going to be the healthiest person ever elected President? Never mind that the current incumbent is clearly a younger fitter man if this really matters.

Thanks, Mr. Expert. Idiots are worldwide. Britain's got them, America's got them, Russia's got them... nobody is immune.

That's where your math is completely wrong.

America didn't realise what a dangerous turd obama is, that's why we are where we are. Now that I know what an expert pundit you really are, how about a piece on Bernie Sanders?
