Anyone have any experience with fiber? I have a few runs at one of the sawmills and I also have one that the ends broke off of. I need to know what I'd need to repair it or would it be cheaper to just have someone come in and fix it?

Get someone in - from what I've seen it's quite an art and the proper equipment isn't cheap. The only times I've known of people repairing their own is when we were having issues with it... not to say it's impossible, but y'know.

Mind you, my heart drops when I hear of people making their own patch cables and doing their own wiring nowadays full stop - I've spent way too many hours diagnosing odd faults that turned out to be shoddy work.
