Blue LEDs

Do they give off UV? I bought a few (1200 altogether, not all blue) from B&Q yesterday, a long length with 400 blue LEDs and they're currently sitting on top of the kitchen cupboards lighting up the ceiling. The whole room seems to have that glowey UV sort of look to it with certain coloured things shining like crazy so I assume there is at least a little UV coming from them. Is that good for eyes to be sitting in?

They wont be outputting much UV, if any. Blue light can make things fluoresce as well.

I'm not sure how this ended up in Teh Forum folder.

It seems most flurorescy (I wanted to say fluorescent in the first post but wasn't sure if that was the right hting) things are near UV purple anyway so I assume it's all fine. Makes the kitchen look really weird though :)
