Use two fingers to zoom in, then it's easy to poke the right one.

And if you use Opera Mini and your finger is touching two links, it'll automatically zoom in on that area for you to select the one you want more clearly.

Are you using the Mobile interface? If you're using Android, Chrome Beta does the same hyperlink-zoom-area-me-do thing as Opera Mini does that Dave mentioned.
