Are you suggesting I draw some shit scene then make up some pretentious meaning for it, then everyone will love me?

No, but he may be suggesting that you just draw some shit scene then make up some pretentious meaning for it.

What would be the point in that?

Broaden your horizons, perhaps?

You can do if you like. Just don't be born in Bradford and become a Bradford hero and I'll be happy.

Working well for him because he was on a TV show. So that means PB needs to get on a show first!

The picture of course. Though the blog entry usefully contextualises it and is worth reading.

My hand/eye/brain coordination is not good enough to produce something like that. :(

I didn't match up the prices with what sold, but I saw what he had on the site and on the ebay store.

You do have to wonder at the people who are buying them - can only assume they think his shit is going to become priceless in a few years time. :S

They are buying it because he's from America Choppers, that's the only reason.

I think shieldy has it spot on, it's cos he was on a TV show, the art isn't great (but then, I don't rate Tracey Emin either)

Please stop trying to destroy my last few fragments of faith in humanity. I refuse to accept that people buy those sorts of paintings just because he's a dweeb from a wannabe biker show. That might be what has generated high levels of interest, but people can't be looking and saying "I'm buying this because he's on some TV show" - they have to either think it looks nice or will grow in value. :S
