Clearly you all need to come up to York. I maintain that it's the shitiness of London that puts people off. :Y

Someone had an idea a while back of doing a camp meat in the Midlands / Lake District.

Which would be excellent to do, especially if it was a long weekend thing.

Milko and Greg could go biking together.
Mouse and Dyl could go minstrelling together.
Kos and Kenny could go scottishing together.
Manthorp and William could go old together.
Xen and Jay could hide inside together.
Dan and Paul could go car mad together.
Caer and Steve could go photoing together.
Wattsy and Jesus could go dadding together.
Fozza and Richard could go gadgeting together.

And we'd all have a really awesome time.

Sounds good, get it booked up.

There's a campsite beside a brewary on Skye...

A Midlands meat would be great but not before I'm back down there In February-March time.

For some reason I've got April 14th in my head, which happens to be a Saturday.

Don't know where the date came from - nothing in my calendar for that date, nor anything coming up in searches.

Could set that as a provisional meat date, and then there's four months to encourage as many lazy buggers as possible to get their arse somewhere for that day/weekend.

That's what happens when you leave things to a bunch of southern pansies. "Ooooh, I've split my nails".

It was probably down to bad light.

You know how off putting the bright sun can be to PB's TFT optimised eyes, don't you?!

It's been ages since we did a Northern Meat. April's no use to me, so I vote for March or May, but not the bank holiday weekend.

When's Easter? We should avoid it too.

I'll be very busy in March and probably April but May may be alright.

Right, that's sorted then - May. There's no Christmas to get in the way, in May.

If we're deciding now, 5 months in advance, then can I chip in with my request to avoid the 1st bank holiday weekend.

Certainly, although you'll note I've already mentioned avoiding bank holidays. Second or third weekend should be fine. Starting in the Maltings about 1ish, with Steve and Mouse having met for 11am Guinness at the Leeds station Wetherspoons, and Gaynor and I turning up slightly late because of a picnic or something.

Easy.

I'm easy for either of them dates. 12th of 19th of May?

Hmmmmz. Depending on finances, I might be tempted by 19th. 12th would be a definite no-go though, 10th is Sofie's birthday and 11th is mine.

So, if I were you, I'd choose the 12th. :Y

19th it is then. I'll make sure there's extra dog muck on the ground wherever the meat is held.

Awwww, shucks, don't go out of your way on my account, I'm sure I'll find plenty enough as it is.
