I've only recently got the speed shout and have used that a couple of times. I can definitely see that being handy at times. Still got some to find though.

You have to do something to the souls to unlock the shouts?

Yeah, you have to use a dragon soul to unlock each level of a shout. If you go to the shouts in the magic menu there's a key to unlock them, R I think.

I don't actually want dragon armour to be better than deadric, as deadric looks way cooler anyway.

You have to look for them. In certain dungeons, you might see a doorway at the end of a broken walkway, or a way over some broken walkways to a ledge. There's often some nifty loot hidden in these places and you need the sprint shout to get them.

Oohh, I hadn't noticed any of those sorts of things. I've seen hidden doors and passageways under water so I will look out for places that need sprinting too. And some word walls are hidden this way?

 

I got the fire breath shout last night, wasn't expecting what I found at the throat of the world.

If/when you get the Storm Call shout, beware using it when there are friendly NPCs about, as it'll quite happily target them as well.

As far as I know, all the word walls are in pretty-obvious-you-can't-really-miss-them places. So far!

Ah, that's what I thought, I misread your post. I thought you meant you have to look for word walls in dungeons with unreachable ledges. I see what you meant now. Most of the ones I've seen have been at the end of dungeons in a big room with a boss dude to kill.

Use a full-power Unrelenting Force on the big orange ball thing.

I've not tried it myself yet so I dunno what happens.

I accidentally read that about that last night. You don't need full power force to do it. The big dome makes a chime /gongy noise and a dragon flies across from somewhere, one with a name. fairly tough bugger who managed to kill me once

Haha. I just went back to the Throat of the World after getting the scroll, went up to dragon wotsit, stood under him and as he talked his neck bent under to follow me trapping me between his legs :D
