Can't Install XP

I've got two Dell Optiplex 745s and I can't seem to install XP SP2.

I've got an XP SP2 CD. When I boot from CD on one it shows the "Setup is inspecting computer" etc then that disappears and it hangs, no CD activity. The other doesn't even show the "Setup is inspecting..." bit.

Could this be something to do with it have a Grub bootloader on the Hard Drive?

The system currently have network booting XP or something (university system) and I want to put a standalone copy of XP on it.

Any ideas?

Would going into GParted and deleting the partitions do the job?
Does XP not like being installed off a SATA optical drive?

Problem solved. Good old GParted. Partitions deleted and setup starts up fine.

I'd recommend fixing it.
