It's a UK mag that believes that graphics cards are best tested with some lame game (even if the target audience might be video editing or 3D modelling or whatever.)

Right click desktop, select screen resolution, adapter, advanced settings, list all modes. (win7).

 

Shows all the supported modes for card. There is/was one for the monitor but I can't find it, might have just been for Nvidia cards though.
