Yeah your accent is quite nice - just the right amount of scouse to give it character while still being well spoken.

It's a sort of well-spoken Cheshire (well, I think it is – I'm not really sure what that is), although it seems that working and going to university with scousers has affected it somewhat. Her dad is from Yorkshire and her mum's Scottish, so there's elements of that in there, too.

I know there's some difference in the way you guys speak over there from region to region, but does it ever get to the point where you can't understand anyone because their accent's so thick? M&S's White chocolate with vanilla is the best thing I've eaten recently (drool)

We're talking about chocolate though, not some sort of fucking fondant icing bullshit.

Ingredients: Cane sugar, coca butter, dried whole milk, ground vanilla pods.

I do not like white chocolate normally either, but this is very nice and not sickly at all.

Oh yeah, no doubt about it. People from Louisiana and the deep south are hard to understand sometimes. Also, yes racist, blacks are very hard for me to understand sometimes.

Racist!!! But, I have similar problems with some of the asians around Bradford who've still got very strong twangs of their original accent. Not their fault, and I'm sure their English is far better than my Thai/Indian/Urdu/Chinese/Laotian or whatever. Had some guy asking me for directions to a street he wanted to get to earlier this week. Couldn't tune into his accent at all, I kept saying 'could you say that again' and in the end he just walked off.

 

Oh, and I have trouble understanding pissed people too.
