The 'official' one came out today, just before minecraft.net fell over :D

Well minecraft.net is back and seems reasonable speed (and was when I posted that).

And his blog article says:

I apologise for ruining the linearness of the tunnel track, but run away carts should now be collected whichever track they are on and whichever direction they are travelling.

 

There's even a minecart dispenser which may or may not work.

Fuck no. (Maybe). At the moment it's aiming to join up with the big road which leads off Kos's giant bridge. After that, who knows?

 

Just realised, though, that it's probably going to run into all kinds of underground stuff near the old spawn. Hope no-one minds it just running straight through everything.

And getting longer. I dug out the centre line yesterday to get as far as the left-hand bend to take it towards the old spawn. The rest of the tunnel is getting close to the bend, but it depends which side of the tunnel you're standing on as to how far away it is. The right-hand side is probably 500 blocks closer.

It's well past the bend. Middle bit is about 700ish away from z=0, which I think is almost at the spawn point.
