I assume Pete will now sort it but I've got space if it's needed. Though.... doesn't Teh have plenty of space and bandwidth?

Teh server probably doesn't have FTP running by default, whereas I basically just have to type in a user/pass/etc and it's all there.

(The firewall at work blocks the port, otherwise I'd have it all done already.)

btw, I've just created mine.tehforum.co.uk which points at the IP address in the first post, meaning it's easier for people to remember if they play on multiple servers.

May take a while for DNS to propagate though (no idea how quickly it's done these days).

(And obviously if the IP changes let me know and I can update it.)

It doesn't have FTP and it really shouldn't have. It does have SSH server so you can SCP files to it. And should you want a GUI for SCP, I highly recommend the lovely WinSCP.

I assume he's got pinging turned off or something since I get no response, but either way, I just tried pinging mine.tehforum.co.uk and it resolved to 94.173.2.75 so it's done here by the looks of it. (BeThere)

Is it better/how is it better than filezilla?

That's a good point, I've been using WinSCP for my SFTP needs when I can just use FileZilla like I do for everything else.

Hooray, the FTp thing would be grand and most bodacious.

My IP is dynamic, but in practice it's been the same for the past year or so, even after the tiem I forgot to pay my bill and got disconnected and had to wait a day to reconnect, so hopefully it should stay the same.

This place is turning into something akin to a WoW forum.
