I wouldn't call it a castle place (though there is one castle tower), but yeah - unless Oscar has built something, that's mine. :)

Last time I logged it, the hunger gauge was going off and it irritated me so much I left. Is that still part of the "game" on teh server now?

There's hunger in survival (2012 world), because that's the point of it.

 

I've no idea if it applies in the old semi-creative world because I haven't been back there.
Food is easy to farm though, even if it is.

I'm pretty sure hunger has been gone on the main (non-survival) world for a while now.

That's the one thing that absolutely prevents me from playing now, too.

Yeah, I have this urge to build something. But using Minecraft for anything other than that feels like I'd have way more fun playing something else.

I was out and we had a bit of lightning. Turns out an old router I was using as a switch decided to crash. Should be sorted now.

I feel the same way.  I really didn't put much thought into it, but when I read what you said it clicked.  That's excatly how I feel.  I just want a big sanbox to build stuff.  If I want to fight shit I'll find a game that does it 1000 times better than minecraft.

TinyMCE probably uses an editable DIV rather than a textarea.

I don't think I'd consider Blender a game.

Only because you've become accustomed to a very narrow definition of "game" and aren't thinking clearly.


If you treat it as such, Blender can be a game - just like balancing a broom on your toes or pulling faces at a child or throwing a frisbee for the dog - they're all games.

Ah, but the combination of building stuff and fighting shit is something Minecraft does so, so well. I'm mostly bored of vanilla peaceful right now (although I'm currently playing with the Technic/Tekkit mod pack on peaceful) but survival multiplayer is very appealing, which is why I want Teh server updated. :x

I'm with Ken on this. The combat in Minecraft is so fucking appalling that it's not the basis of any good combination of anything.

I like the pressure of survival but I do not think that the pressure is at all well-presented.

Wurm is far better in that regard.
