I like the look of the new map - it's got a better colour palette.

Not sure why it's all rotated round though.

I'll have to get my bearings again.

Yeah, I noticed that, yet North is still top. Very odd. Maybe it's something more Minecraft related that North has changed.

I like that you can see trees on the map with something approaching clarity.

Is everyone else seeing the snow-like stuff around the citadel/colloseum area on the map?

Is that actually there, or just a glitch?

Can't be arsed trekking all that way from where I spawned. :-$

The map can actually be a higher res too, not sure if it would all need rerendering again though. Currently on the default low.

It's fine as it is - shows enough detail to figure out what things are.

Where'd it go? :S

Oh, it's back now.

Sorry about that. The electric tripped out.

I think that is real, a whole bunch of rocks patch dug out

Oh good, not a server crash then. :)

It doesn't look like rocks dug out, and it covers the roof of the citadel too? :/

I'm guessing that with the new biomes that area is now a snowy area.

you're right, someone turned the rocks into a dolphin!

Since the server is actually a laptop it means it already has a battery backup :)

That was Kev. He had an aesthetic problem with the bare patch of rocks that I'd left.

is there something up with the dynamic map?
on both worlds the 'spawn' point as shown is not where I believe it is
also, what's up with the orientation?
From: ANT_THOMAS 9 Mar 2012 11:43

Orientation - no idea, it seems the world or the map has rotated.

Spawn - not sure either, I'll look into that since it's in the black on 2012.

Do we want separate inventories per "World" and "2012"?

Whatever world you die in you now respawn in that world.
From: JonCooper 9 Mar 2012 13:39

personally I think separate inventories, cos otherwise it's too easy to flip home and get something

I thought that too and I think BP mentioned it up there somewhere.

Certainly possible, the multiverse plugin has an inventory addon I can sort.

Also, the Spawn point issue is due to Dynmap taking the spawn point location from the server itself but the place you actually spawn to is defined by multiverse. Dynmap can't read from multiverse. Not sure why they're vastly different though. One work around is to move the Spawn labels from dynmap.
