there was 'unofficial'* beta release 1 a few days ago
then there was 'unofficial' beta release 2 just a couple of days ago
now 1.8 is officially released to everyone
and 1.9 is on the way!




*'unofficial' despite it being released by a member of the development team and linked to from the minecraft.net site

I guess it doesn't check the servers you use because you could be using many different ones.

 

I should have the .jar. I'll have a look.

Can't attach it. Apparently I don't have enough space (File is <3MB, free space is 5MB)

So here it is.....This is my bin folder from "%appdata%/.minecraft"

I tried Ant's .jar but MC updated without asking me

Then I tried another .jar file I found but that auto updated too
