38 is optimal
36 is easier to work with
less makes Lucy happy

:D I'm not sure how you'll add my new line to the map (it's underground)

you think he updates the map every time someone makes a new track?

No, but I'm guessing if we ask or suggest then he will.

It would be if the bugger worked. I need to fill in the space underneath it with sand, because I think it needs more contrast. But Deus Ex has got me at the moment.

I've not got around to scanning it yet. Where's it go?

Yes! Finally got my delay circuit working. The only problem is that it takes up loads of room, so I'm going to have to work on how to arrange it to get it nicely hidden. At least the mechanics are in place though, a button press retracts the piston, which stays retracted for a short while before extending again. Now to make my quiz- based death trap :)

Aye, monostable circuits take the piss with how much room they occupy.

Quiz based death trap is an awesome idea :D I guess: multiple doors for answers?

Here. It was more a test to see how easy it would be. My head broke several times while I was building it, even though I had it printed off in front of me. I just kept losing my sense of direction.

Also, I've learnt to build it flat on the ground, instead of falling off lots while it's in the air.

:D

Aye, it's hard enough keeping track of something with a regular pattern...

Really nice idea though. I like it.

That would have been easy, as would have trapdoors been.
My plan is to have an extended piston holding back lava, when you press the wrong button, it retracts. The hard part was getting it to retract for long enough to allow lava through.

The insanely difficult next bit is to have it on multiple levels, where the right answer releases water instead of lava, and you can swim up through the water to reach the next level. I don't think that's feasible though unfortunately, it's going to be hard enough for one level!

Having said all that, some preople really do have too much time on their hands, but make awesome redstone stuff - see this piston-engined train for example:

That vid has been linked before in this very thread :'D

And your idea sounds really great. Can't wait to have a go :D

Well, the first 'draft' of it is at the top of my tower

Finish it :Y

It's sort of finished now - as it's at the top of the tower, I don't have that much room.
Give it a try, just have some water handy!
I can't remember if I left the lights on or not though, so you'll have to hunt around for the switches if you can't find your way to the top...

I had a play in your tower. It's absolutely wicked :D

I seemed to survive every button-press and lever-pull though so I guess it still needs to be made into a game. But yeah, it's cool. Feels very adventurey going up through it.
