I need a better route to your place, I always get lost following the normal tracks, must start laying track in the nether.

Aargh - halfway through laying the track and fell straight into the lava, losing 50 bits of powered track, and 100 pieces of normal track.
Gutted.

Wouldn't have happened if you'd been using the default texture pack. :P

If I were to start building my own little place on the server, where would be best? Not to clever with the old minecarts/redstone etc. so would like it to be near someone elses for ease of access.

Just highlight somewhere on the map and i'm sure someone will say yay or nay.

looking at the map, there seems to be a nice, unused space slightly to the east. It's near enough to everyone else for transport but not so close you can't expand - map attached

No, no - build north. There's loads of space between me and the rest of the big builds, and I can connect my skyway to wherever you start building, easily enough.

have you seen that weird cross thing just south of the lava pit?

is teh server offline for everyone?

I shall look into it when I can get on the server. Do I need to mine for bits or can I give myself everything I need?
