Something cool to do with pistons: build a transformer.

A sculpture that looks like a car, then you flick a switch and it turns into a robot.

Probably very tricky to do without rotations, and no doubt a pain in the arse to power pistols (especially to make it go in reverse), but still it would be exceedingly cool if you pulled it off. :)

I. Hate. Bloody. Lava.
Finally managed to find some diamonds, had 40 Redstone with me and then I go and fall in the lava and lose everything except a single dollop of redstone.

Clearly Teh Mine is somewhere that Health & Safety hasn't GONE MADDD!!!!! yet.

:( Not fun falling into lava with lots of stuff. If you're quick enough you can go to /spawn and jump in the water.

 

If you or anyone wants some redstone i've got 384 of the stuff.

If you're feeling flush with it, you could drop off the 39 blobs that I lost. I'm more annoyed at myself for chasing after more stuff by a lava pool without dropping off what I had first.

Come get it if you want it :P I've done that before a few times, had a stack of diamonds, a couple of other bits, thought I'll go drop stuff off amd come back to see what else is around then BURNED by lava. Both times (or maybe it was one time and the other I got out of the lava so could pick my stuff up) I was lucky enough to get to some water.

I fell in lava while in the nether, "no problem" thinks I, "I have my trusty bucket of water right here" (having been caught out like this before)

There's something wrong about this avenue you've steered us down.

I lost 10 or so diamonds in lava earlier today, as well as a diamond pick, shovel and axe. It was the only time it's happened to me so far but it still sucks (I swear I used the water bucket in time...). I also have plenty of redstone which you can nab if you like but I'm probably so far out of your way that it would be quicker to just mine some more. :-P

Not as bendy as I used to be - could get my feet behind my head when I was younger; now I can only just manage half way. :(

Still seems to be further than the average person can do, but it's NOT! FAR! ENOUGH! :@ :'(
