Yeah, I watched the first few minutes and decided that I didn't need it filling up space in my head.

If I have a switch that releases a cart onto a stone pressure switch, and them when someone gets in it activates the perpetual motion cart to bump it ill be onto a winner.

I'm wasting my life aren't I?

I wouldn't like to say, given two of the things I've built on that server.

I sorted your points but I kinda destroyed the track in the process. Should work if you put it back how you wanted it though.

Arrgh, MC Map is infuriating.

Somtimes occasionaly it would say in the progress box "Pass 1 of 2", and on those occasions it would take like 20+ minutes to draw the map. Normally it takes 2-4 minutes.

Now when I've spotted it doing that I've hit cancel and relaunched it and it does it normally.

Last night the first time I tried it crashed. Then it said "pass 1 of 2" so I cancelled. Then the next time it said "pass 1 of 4". So I gav eup and went to bed.

Today I'm doing it and it fucking says "Pass 1 of 6". WTF is going on with it?!?!?!?!

Be careful, we don't want it going to "Pass 1 of ∞".

Took about 40 minutes but it did finish this time. I'm uploading just now.

Some boring server stats:

World maps are now coming in at just shy of 30MB, due to people who love to go exploring.

The World files are around 160MB (size on disk) over 37,296 files.

In the last 24 hours my router has uploaded 2,527MB, I would suspect that 90% of that is the Server. This is a bit less than the normal 3GB a day since the server went online :S

Hahah, omg :'D
I haven't really explored until now, and I won't start really. I'll just stick to mining around the areas that have already been explored.

Is there some utility that will trim maps down? I'm just thinking that a couple of large chunks of the map could go away without anyone ever noticing.

I can specify which area i want it to draw, I'll do that on the next one and just do the main build areas.

Sorry, I meant trim the world, rather than just the map. Cut off the explored but unbuilt bits and keep the file numbers down.

Ah, right. Probably can do that, but not much point. It's less CPU intensive to keep it as it doesn't have to worry about regenerating those bits if/when they're needed. Meh, I don't really care -it's only 160MB!

I'm still thinking I should look into the hMod thing where you can put the world into a MySQL database for better performance and more reliable saves, but I'm not sure if you can move existing worlds to MySQL or if you have to create them in MySQL from scratch. :\
