Since that bastard is being all agreeable, I'll have to complain about it. :P

Stop whining!

Just get a couple of portals setup, or maybe a distant warp point, so you can jump straight out in the wilderness and go find things.

You've changed.

Aye, not sure what's happened. I've reloaded permissions with and without time but there's been no improvement.

Have you looked into the possibility of each person having two warp points (i.e. a "/away" as well as existing "/home")?

Also, can't remember if it was suggested before, but a "/spawn" might be handy too?

I'll add to the count by bitching about pistons. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't.

Not so!

I'm against anything which undermines the value of labour. Fucking with the fabric of reality is fine.

Does /spawn not work for everyone else? :$

I hate it when /home takes me to an area slightly above/below where I'm meant to be, and I die in the terrain and lose all the stuff I'm carrying. Then when I go /back, I can't find the items.

Gahhhhh.

:(

You do not have access to that command!

I think you said there wasn't anything, but just to verify - did you check for anything mentioned in the log files?

That's been happening /a lot/ lately. Tanner has lost so much stuff that he refuses to get on the server now.

Oh... I hadn't actually tried it. :$

You can all use /spawn now (I've been using it for ages :$ ) didn't know it wasn't there for everyone else.

I had that a few times on the old server, but I've not had it on this one.

Of course, if someone builds over your home point you'll need to do /sethome to make sure you don't suffocate.
From: ANT_THOMAS19 Jul 2011 15:29
To: Peter (BOUGHTONP) 2287 of 3934
Yeah when I message you from the console that's the log (I think) and nothing was showing.
From: ANT_THOMAS19 Jul 2011 15:31

Just move your home point or make your home point not somewhere underground with very little space. If you /sethome dig around above and below a bit to give some extra room.

So you were looking when we executed the command - but what about when the plugin was first loaded - might be a message that appears then?

(Not sure how plugins are loaded; might involve a server restart?)

When your changing permissions, are you doing that via typed commands?
If so, is there also a config file - maybe that file has become corrupted/invalid in some way, meaning that certain permissions aren't sticking (although then I guess we should have the "no permission to do this" error when trying "/time day", instead of getting no response).

Yeah I was looking when the commands were executed - It just looked as normal. And you've said it hasn't said you don't have permission, so it knows you do, it just isn't working. Is /spawn working for people?

I edit the permissions by the config file directly and reload the permissions, the file isn't corrupt.

quote:
me: Oi! uoou! Does /spawn work for you?
uoou: yes it does
me: cool
uoou: home is still bugged though :')
uoou quit
uoou joined
me: bah
uoou: s'ok
uoou: no biggie
uoou: just usually I'm floating in space while everything around me has loaded

I used to get that floating thing when connection being laggy and returning after some time to a chunk no longer in memory.
(Solved by disconnecting and re-joining server.)

Seems like it might be a bigger problem since the new version of bukkit though?
