Oh man that could be an alternative to my elevator idea :D It'd be about as fast as the elevators in Mass Effect, too :C

And yeah, it looks like a lot but from the comments (and my head) I get the impression it could be done with much less.

But... it's a row of redstone torches the length of the entire track which need to sequentially go off and then back on. Which is a lot of wiring however you do it (especially over a distance of 800 squares :(( )

But yeah, feasible for a lift if it can be made to go upwards.

That didn't strike me as terrible! But it's like having a strobe light in the elevator with you!

Man I've been messing with pistons all weekend, what a pain in the ass! The wiring and stuff needed requires you to really think about space before using them!
