Kos - what was the plugin for /back after death. Found a different one but its putting me straight back in the lava which is fairly pointless.

Think its part of Essentials or General, whatever the current one is.

I think it tries to find the nearest safe block to put you on.

Right, I have setup permissions and essentials and I think I've set them up right.

 

So far from the Essentials command list you regular users have...

 

/depth - Gives you your current block depth
/getpos - Current coords
/back - back to last place and back to safe block after death (might be issues with this, tell me if there is)
/list - list of current logged in users

 

It's been a productive day at work.

I'm also toying with the idea of allowing people to warp but only me being able to set them.

 

So I can give you maybe 2 warp spots each and I'll tp to you to set/change it.

 

Though this will obviously only work when I'm online and I can't see a way to enabling warp setting and having a limit. That would be the ideal situation.

Is the /home a mod or part of Minecraft?

If it's a mod, then it should be simple to clone it and create /away1 and /away2 which then frees you from being online and still limits warps.

Of course, that would also mean personal-use only, which people may or not want.

/home is a mod. I'll have a look when I get home to see if it can be replicated and if it can how easily.

I think being able to warp to others (with their permission/acceptance) would be ok, but just warping all over the place did get a bit much

Yeah it definitely won't be anything like unlimited warps like it used to be. I think being able to warp or maybe just tp to someone might make things a bit more communal because at the moment I've been building stuff quite a distance from everyone else so it'd be nice to get around a bit more, without it taking the piss.

Since 1.7 is apparently a long way off, you should sneak around some of the existing beaches and place clay blocks, so people that want that can go hunting for it.

How do I get to the nether?

Go through a portal or build a portal.

Do we have them somewhere? If so I need to look around. I spend about 95% of my time underground.

I think someone has built some. Build one yourself.

I'll have to find the stuff first. I did see some purplish stuff the other day. I'll have to find it tonight.

there is a portal in Drew's basement
and another way off to the east
and a road between the two, in the nether!
