Has the Nether been turned off? :(

Ah right, didn't know... my portal-based mass transit idea won't work then :-$

*builds skyways instead*

Good work on the roof, who ever that was. Presumably not Patch.

Is it complete now? Guessing that was Serg. I levelled up the dome so the arch was the same both sides, but got bored filling it in with no one else there.

Not quite, but getting there. Guess that's probably your work then :D

New Ridiculous Project Idea:

Anyone fancy helping make a replica of the Eden Project? It's their 10th aniversary or something, so we could claim that's why we're doing it if we need some kind of justification.

http://www.edenproject.com/

We could have a different biome type thing in each bit - one with cactus and sand, one with trees, one with reeds etc.

accurate replica or 'inspired by' version?

"Inspired by" is what you say when you try an accurate replica and screw it up.

Let's do what Pete said :D

I vote 1:1 replica. :)

Well, obviously the contents of the biomes can't map exactly, because the game doesn't have what is actually there - but since they change bits of it anyway, so we can go for the spirit of it and not be resorting to an "inspired by" version.

Tropical rainforest - lots of trees, waterfalls, etc.
Mediterranean - sandy, some trees, cactus, pumpkins, seeds, some flowers, etc.
Outside - grassy, lots flowers, seeds, reeds, etc.

But yeah, definitely we should go for accurate layout/landscaping, and be aiming for correctness.

But without the screwing up part, right? :S

I was thinking less screwing up and more giving up and doing an approximation instead :D

Bah.

We can grab Google Maps/Earth satellite view of the place, pixelate and reduce to 16 colours - that gives us an easy to copy guide for the layout.

There'll be maps showing the paths inside the domes.

Heights we can determine from photos.

After that it should be pretty easy - just plant appropriate stuff in appropriate places.

Might want to get the server online first ;)

(It died while I was doing the roof earlier)

Pfah! Assuming the PDF is just a larger version of this*, it's good enough.

(*and now the blasted wifi is working again, I can see it is)

Well, good enough for me, in that it orders my memories of the place, so if you like I'll volunteer for doing that bit.
Once there's enough space there shouldn't be any problems.

S'back up.

I'm off to Glasgow in a minute to see Russell Howard, so if it goes down again between now and about midnight you're screwed :P

STOP BREAKING IT :@

Perhaps try not to use the jump command so much, every time it stops responding the last set of commands are a lot of jumps. I think it's running our of memory and not knowing what to do with itself :|
