Too late.

Patch: Finish the roof :C

Nice work finishing shit!

I'll have to log in and take a video when it's ready for public viewing. :D

-edit: oh, I see, you mean the roof/floor of the "changing rooms" area. I still have a lot of glass to put in place for the covered roof of the whole area.

-edit again: I don't know how you filled it or did the lava. I wish I'd been there, but it's epically epic! Damn do I have some glasiery to work on! The squid are a genius touch.

there is a glass bottom, 4 block up from bedrock, lava everywhere under that - then we made a dirt level one block down from the top, filled it with water then removed the dirt - the squid turned up on their own, you can watch them from the observation shaft (or dive right in off the high diving boards)

It got interesting after I left then! Looks like I'll check this out at work today.

I would finish the roof but I can never get the curve right. The bit I was doing last night was only where I had previously placed blocks as a guide.

you made me laugh so much, how many times did you TP to me and die?

Too many, its because there's no easy entrance to the pool complex.

there is a doorway and a tunnel (or two) - the tunnels are hard to find though

Make it easy, use /sethome when you're inside the complex, then you can do /home to go there. That's what I do now.

Has the Nether been turned off? :(

nether doesn't work on multiplayer.

Ah right, didn't know... my portal-based mass transit idea won't work then :-$

*builds skyways instead*

Good work on the roof, who ever that was. Presumably not Patch.

Is it complete now? Guessing that was Serg. I levelled up the dome so the arch was the same both sides, but got bored filling it in with no one else there.

Not quite, but getting there. Guess that's probably your work then :D

New Ridiculous Project Idea:

Anyone fancy helping make a replica of the Eden Project? It's their 10th aniversary or something, so we could claim that's why we're doing it if we need some kind of justification.

http://www.edenproject.com/

We could have a different biome type thing in each bit - one with cactus and sand, one with trees, one with reeds etc.

accurate replica or 'inspired by' version?

"Inspired by" is what you say when you try an accurate replica and screw it up.

Let's do what Pete said :D

I vote 1:1 replica. :)

Well, obviously the contents of the biomes can't map exactly, because the game doesn't have what is actually there - but since they change bits of it anyway, so we can go for the spirit of it and not be resorting to an "inspired by" version.

Tropical rainforest - lots of trees, waterfalls, etc.
Mediterranean - sandy, some trees, cactus, pumpkins, seeds, some flowers, etc.
Outside - grassy, lots flowers, seeds, reeds, etc.

But yeah, definitely we should go for accurate layout/landscaping, and be aiming for correctness.
