Not really! Obviously there is a reason for all that TNT. It's to umm... create a... thing. A marvellous thing that shall become splendiferously apparent when it has been created.

Actually I was wondering if it was possible to blow up a whole mountain with some TNT. The rest I just got carried away with. Please let me back in! I shall be productive instead of destructive and help with the pool. Pwetty pwease!

That much TNT where it was placed would have done the following:

1. Destroyed a large part of Jon's road that goes to my bridge

2. left a big fucking ugly hole in the ground that looks ugly. Did I mention that it would be ugly?

If you want to play with stupid amounts of TNT then by all means go ahead, but go somehwere far away from where people have built stuff.

As it turns out even after covering the hole lot in water a fair bit of damage was done to the road, and whatever was under the hill prior to the blast.

I shall unban you on this occasion, but please check the server rules next time by using the command /rules.

Thank you!

I didn't mean to damage anything that anyone else had made. I thought the TNT was far enough away from the road but obviously I was wrong. I won't use any that close again.

I don't want to uglify any parts of the map in view of regularly visited areas either.

/me goes off to blow up a remote mountain

Btw, might be good to have the Dynamic Map added to the first post of the thread?

For any newbies, along with people too stupid to remember the simple port number. :'(

Like me :$

How does the map actually update?

Done.

It's supposed to draw the area around players (basically what ever part of the map the server has loaded into memory).

It doesn't always do it right though.

The live aspect is very nice but I wonder if there's a similar thing that just does a full map snapshot at time of loading (I have no idea if this would strain the server a little or a lot).

A lot.

Ignore Xen, he is wrong.

it would strain the server a /fuck ton/.

And myself, although I'll remember 8123 now because 8xxx is standard use for random server ports, and 123 is... uh, 123.

It updates visible areas around players every few seconds (though is a bit buggy), and reveals not-yet-visible areas if a player places a torch (even if they remove the torch a few moments later).

Oh and top left pixel of the face is where players actually are.

Patch: Finish the roof :C

Nice work finishing shit!

I'll have to log in and take a video when it's ready for public viewing. :D

-edit: oh, I see, you mean the roof/floor of the "changing rooms" area. I still have a lot of glass to put in place for the covered roof of the whole area.

-edit again: I don't know how you filled it or did the lava. I wish I'd been there, but it's epically epic! Damn do I have some glasiery to work on! The squid are a genius touch.

there is a glass bottom, 4 block up from bedrock, lava everywhere under that - then we made a dirt level one block down from the top, filled it with water then removed the dirt - the squid turned up on their own, you can watch them from the observation shaft (or dive right in off the high diving boards)

It got interesting after I left then! Looks like I'll check this out at work today.

I would finish the roof but I can never get the curve right. The bit I was doing last night was only where I had previously placed blocks as a guide.
