Hmm, I wonder if it would be possible to have a "Teh Mine" Minecraft server with authentication tied into the forum.

Someone find out if you can mod the authentication method in Minecraft to use our own. Quick. Go. Now.

See http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Server.properties

Looks like there is an online-mode setting that controls regular auth checking.

So, with that turned off, it's just a case of setting up an authenticating proxy server in front of the Minecraft server which does the login checks (against Teh), and it's as simple as that?

I think that if you punched Pammy's chest a few time it'd explode. Or perhaps not in your case.

I would be happy to punch you at the next meat so you can figure that out. :)

That should be fun.
Can I punch you back in return?

What're your fence bits made of, is that reads? And how'd you make the slant pieces?

Sticks. Can't remember how they're arranged though. Then there's reeds growing on the outside.

THAT'S A FUCKING AWESOME IDEA!

So can you change your spawn point?

Fences are six sticks.

If you want a complete set of all recepies (and lots of other info), check minecraftwiki.net

(There are no slant pieces in the game or in his screenshot?)

I've heard it's possible to change the spawn point, but don't think it's an in-game thing (think it's another cheat tool / level hack).

just found out about monster farming - some clever traps about

All the traps I've seen are variations on the same thing - falling/drowning and current-based loot collection.

Are there any that use switches/doors/circuits in an inventive way?

(Anyone know if an iron door can actually move mobs and/or loot?)
