Fences are six sticks.

If you want a complete set of all recepies (and lots of other info), check minecraftwiki.net

(There are no slant pieces in the game or in his screenshot?)

I've heard it's possible to change the spawn point, but don't think it's an in-game thing (think it's another cheat tool / level hack).

just found out about monster farming - some clever traps about

All the traps I've seen are variations on the same thing - falling/drowning and current-based loot collection.

Are there any that use switches/doors/circuits in an inventive way?

(Anyone know if an iron door can actually move mobs and/or loot?)

Yeah, meant the green bits (I've already got my garden fenced off :C )

I need to go and have a proper explore.

nah, really just the current based stuff
some interesting use of lava too
and one where the loot falls on a switch which lets you know you have loot :)

I wish there was a way to do dominoes - that'd be awesome.

BUT WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT?

Hmm, yeah, there is something odd looking about that bit.

But the're no slants in the game (notch said he'll never implement diagonal/smoothing blocks) and the vanishing points do match up, so it must just be Xen being at a funny angle, plus the dark stripe blending into the lower block, to make it look wrong.

No, I played with Barbie and she taught me the valuable lesson that fabulous clothes, shoes and a giant mansion with bold statement decoration and furnishings gets you a hot boyfriend.

If you keep getting fatter you'll eventually turn into a star.
