Due to a lack of planning on my part, train tickets were gonna cost us £80 so we're going to drive down. Currently planning on parking in Zone 5 somewhere and getting the tube in, though if anyone has any better ideas I'd be interested.

There's fast trains from St Albans to Kings Cross (or is it St Pancras now?) which is then just 2/3 stops on the Northern line.

Whether that's cheaper or more convenient or in any way helpful, I've no idea.

Nah, I'm not coming because of a variety of reasons, two of which are: not able to afford it after paying out this month's child care bill and I'm still not too clever after the operation, I won't be able to eat or drink anything.
