I think Alex knows how gutted I am about this from the rabid torrent of swearing she heard last night.

Gutted is an understatment, I don't recon there will be another like this for, well, EVER.

If it'll make you feel better, you can send me your cash and I'll drink your drinks for you. I'll even label the photo of me drinking it as "Wattsy's Beer".

Fair?

What time do you folks think we'll be meeting up? Need to sort out train times and such.

Also, are the usual northerners having wetherspoons breakfast in Leeds before setting off, or will everyone be leaving too early?

I was just thinking that I should book train tickets.

Good point. Probably about lunch time, I guess. Trains are starting to look expensive already, will need to sort out tickets quickish.

Who's all still coming?

I shall sort out train tickets to get in for 13:33 then, as that is the perfect balance of price and timing. (Leaving Leeds at 11:05 if Manthrob, Mouse and anyone else want to travel at the same time)

I plan to get teh train from Braintree, change at Witham if necessary, pop on the tube at Liverpool Street and walk from Tottenham Court Road station to Fitzrovia and the joys of cheap beer and the smell of sick at the Fitzroy Tavern for anytime between 12:00 and 13:00.

I don't think any of you buggers are anywhere near me but if you are and want a travelling companion for the all of the 90 minutes travelling I'll be doing, let me know...otherwise I'll meet you all there to drink some lovely Alpine/Ayingerbrau or whatever the hell it's called now.

I shall leave the Tavern when;

a) I'm close to not being able to safely do the journey backwards or
b) Around 11:00pm to make sure I get the last train or
c) In a body bag

Yes, still going, part time forumite that I am.

I'm going to get on the Central Line, get out at Totty Court Road and wander up to the pub for about whenever I get there! if anyone wants to share the ride (uh, Sergiu perhaps?) then it can be arranged.

I'll be coming in from Waterloo. Is TCR the nearest tube den?

hmm, it's pretty equidistant from there and Goodge St on the Northern Line (charing cross branch). Less pedestrians in the way if you go from Goodge St, but perhaps less to look at too if you think you might prefer to look in gadgety electrical shops on the way. Much of a muchness.

The lovely Claire and I MIGHT be coming on the south eastern train from crayford to charing cross and then POSSIBLY getting the tube to goodge street. If we can get babysitting sorted out that is...

A brekky of some sort would seem sensible, particularly if it involves Guinness. It's bloody hard on the heels of Ars Electronica & shortly before taking Gabe down to his halls (& pecha Kucha in Coventry) But I think I'm still on.

And now I have booked them. I'll be turning up at some point (probably between midday and one) and leaving at some point. You other buggers had better turn up.

Me and Oscar have our tickets booked now too.

Been a while since I've been to London...
