No idea what beer prices are like, but a JD & Coke was £3.10 so I expect it to be around normal London prices.

Ummm...why are we going from one pub to another similar but smaller pub just around the corner?

And first pub will be cheaper. So we're likely to enjoy the latter part of the evening more (just kidding, John!).

Ha! Funny you should say that - now that we're 3 weeks away, I'm hoping that you all get drunk enough to not notice how (potentially!) bad we'll be but not so drunk that you'll tell me how (potentially!) bad we are afterwards! Carl (t'new drummer) is settling in well but he is different to Mike to say the least...

Oh and entry fee is £5 with a flyer a copy of which I will attach soon - they usually start bands at 8pm.

(Last bit was to everyone btw :) )

Ah, live bandiness.  Fair enough.  I'll probably be too drunk to notice what's going on after the first couple of pints anyway...been a dry year so far what with buying a house in February and never having any money any more.

I'm paying to get to London using rail vouchers my missus gets when One railway (or whatever teh hell they've decided to call themselves this week) inevitably cock up.

Grim I'm afraid, I'm a definate no go. Whatwith being deeper into the world of supermarkets I'm working right up until Chrismas Eve, still I've somehow got Boxing day off, which is nice.

:(

I looked into it & the cost would be too prohibitive for me, sadly.

Oh, and it's the Wendyhouse Xmas party so I'll be gothed up that day.

Sorry guys!

Paul

I'm not going to confirm. It's just not my /style/ dammit.

(lots going on around then including the day before - my work do in the afternoon and Ruth's work do in the evening, in Worksop of all places, so I shall have to see whether and where I wake up on the morning in question)

From experience, though, you can be sure that maybe means maybe, not no. I'd like to be there.
