Can't Browse Teh in Firefox

(I've put this in Software rather than Project Beehive folder as I suspect it's just my computer...)

In FF beehive has sudenly become unusable - it was fine up until I got in yesterday evening and tried it.

Basically when I click on a thread on the left, it seems to load fine, but then the whole page (i.e. all frames) refreshesand I'm back at the first thread that loaded when i logged in, and the thread I wanted to look at has gone from the threadlist and been marked as read.

Any ideas? I'm using 2.0.0.14

Same version here and it's fine.

Maybe a dodgy extension?

How queer.

I've just uninstalled and reinstalled it, but it's still happening :|

As it seems to be more than just Kos having this problem, shall I move the thread to the Beehive folder?

I've heard about people having something similar to this with FF recently (though not BH specific). Could you try reverting to an older version and see if it still does it?

Aye, I think it's a definite bug. I've just checked, & Little Blue has Firefox 2.0.0.14 too; so it's curious. Baby Blue, with a young XP install, has the bug: Little Blue, with a mature Vista install, doesn't.

The bug is just as described by Kos: the messages window opens fine> you click to open a thread with unread posts> the browser reloads> it reopens on the original thread & post it opened on, but the thread you tried to open is marked as read.

Btw, your sig link currently stretches across the whole width of the post... assuming that's not deliberate, could you change it to this:
code:
<div align="center"><a href="http://www.manthorp.co.uk"><font color="#FF0000">www.manthorp.co.uk</font></a></div>

Which will mean only the text itself is linked, and so I wont keep accidentily clicking on the whitespace and opening your page. :)

In addition to what Xen and Pete said, can those affected disable their PM popup as well as the stats display.

Also post your anti-virus of choice and try disabling it temporarily or white listing tehforum.co.uk and report back the results.

Soz, I hadn't noticed I'd done that. I will change it.

Is it more than just me?

EDIT: Ah, missed that Manny said he had it on one of his machines.

You hit the nail on the head!

I just uninstalled 0.0.14 and reverted to 0.0.13, same problem.

just on the off chance I checked the add-ons thing and it seems that Skype installed an extension without telling me. Uninstalled that and everything's working again!

Hmmm, that's the second time I've heard of that Skype plugin, both times in the context of it fucking things up.

I've got the Skype extension on both, though. I'll try removing from Baby Blue & report back.
