I propose a Northern Scottish Southern Meat Rematch. In Bannockburn.

I'd recomend staying in the Golden Lion in Stirling, then. The hotel in Banockburn is a bit shit, and Stirling has an awesome selection of 3 good restaurants.

May I suggest that if the English contingent are staying there, the Scots hole up on the other side of the river, just by the bridge?

Good idea, it seemed to work well last time...

Plus, there's a good ice cream shop.

<panics at sudden potential responsibility>

Erk.

Ooh, where's that? I'm not sure I've ever been in Stirling during normal shop opening hours.

In other news, I've just noticed I've got a missed call from Mouse at about 1.30 on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I was passed out drunk by that time (yes, I'm a lightweight) - had I been around perhaps I could have saved him from himself! IT'S ALL MY FAULT :'(

:o You could have texted him a wheelchair!

The ice cream shop is Corrieri's, on Alloa Road, near the Causewayhead roundabout. They do a good mix of ice creams, plus cracking pizzas and pasta and all that.

So, when's everyone coming up for the Glasgow meat?

All you need is some Social Viagra.

I don't know why they're calling it social 'viagra'. I don't think it'd really boost my confidence if I was walking round with a raging hard on all day.

Well shit, that was during the Great Mouse Disappearing act...

Ahh, don't think I normally go up that far - normally we stick around King Street kinda area. Perhaps next time I will have to make a detour.

If it's July/August I should have the previously mentioned spare bedroom as well as other flat space.

That aside I dont mind/ have no other committments that can't be rejigged to suit everyone else.

/me dials back a few days

Was it good then? Didn't happen to see The Sidewinders perform did you?

I did manage to escape my sister's birthday celebrations after the meal and get stupidly drunk in town (and not break an ankle). Really wish I'd gone down to London tho', Banbury's just not the same :(

Yeah it was quite good. Probably saw The Sidewinders but i'd had quite a bit to drink by then. :/

Another band called Lord Byron did a cover of the Theme from Ulysses (which got the whole bar laughing - but I don't think that was the intention). They came across like they'd overdosed on Tim Burton and Nick Cave.
