/MY/ God that was an exciting one... could've done with a few more people, but nevertheless it was great.

 

Thank you very very much Steve for the hospitality (no pun intended), and hope Mouse gets better. I'll upload some pics today or sometime soon - currently I'm a bit "high" due to the amount of caffeine I consumed on the way back to London.

So I broke my promise to not drink much on Friday and spent the entire journey from my house to Serg's trying not to throw up.
Then I told Serg and Elena that was going to have a non-alcoholic drink first to ease myself back into drinking but end up ordering a pint of Black Sheep straight away.
I didn't have a non-alcoholic drink until early this morning.
So I ended up not feeling well on the journey back too. (fail)

 

But in between a lot of fun was had!

Thanks to Manthorp for the floor space, the beer, the breakfast and most importantly for not getting upset at all the triple whiskeys I seemed to finish off from the bottle Serg brought with him as a gift. :-$

May I once again propose a Northern Northern (Scottish) Meet, in a frantic attempt to ensure I can attend again?

 

I can offer a rather large floor, most probably a free doublebed room (1 flatmate should be away for a few months) and kitchen with a comfy sofa in it... most probably room for lots.

 

Edit: In an attempt to be as good a host as Mr Manthorp I will cook sausages the day after. They may well be from my local butcher, but they will be of the sliced sausage variety, not from linked sausages. How is that for a selling point, 40% cow fat and sinew in a roll....

I'd recomend staying in the Golden Lion in Stirling, then. The hotel in Banockburn is a bit shit, and Stirling has an awesome selection of 3 good restaurants.

May I suggest that if the English contingent are staying there, the Scots hole up on the other side of the river, just by the bridge?

Good idea, it seemed to work well last time...

Plus, there's a good ice cream shop.

In other news, I've just noticed I've got a missed call from Mouse at about 1.30 on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I was passed out drunk by that time (yes, I'm a lightweight) - had I been around perhaps I could have saved him from himself! IT'S ALL MY FAULT :'(

The ice cream shop is Corrieri's, on Alloa Road, near the Causewayhead roundabout. They do a good mix of ice creams, plus cracking pizzas and pasta and all that.

 

So, when's everyone coming up for the Glasgow meat?

I don't know why they're calling it social 'viagra'. I don't think it'd really boost my confidence if I was walking round with a raging hard on all day.
