Any chance you could give him a poke about teh backup?

If it's unintentional it would be nice to have it restored, but otherwise I can create a new backup place...

I think it might be a good idea for you to go ahead with a new backup place as I think it unwise for us to rely on someone who rarely visits to maintain such a place.

If you look up ther ^^ you'll see that the whole Pandasurf thing has been dismantled, so I doubt it's unintentional.

How much space & traffic would teh backup take, very roughly?

Even went it's used it's unusuall if more than 10 people post one or two posts on there, so I'd guess fuck all.

Heh, you read my mind - I was just going to go find out the relevant PHP commands and write a quick script to do that. :)

Forum is otherwise all setup, so once I've got the status thing working I'll create a new thread to tell people where it is.

Hmm yeah I deleted everything off pandasurf.

 

Although shit loads of it came back because, and the chances of this happening at the same time I deleted everything are astoundingly low I would estimate ... the hdd on the web server died. So when they restored from backup... and pretty much everything I deleted came back.

 

Anyway sorry for the loss of the backup but to be honest there was bugger all on it and it wasn't really used much.

 

Hopefully someone more regular (sic) can set up a new one.
