Do they not have a park & ride or anything?

So long as there is somewhere I can leave it without having to worry about people breaking in and stealing my expensive laptop ... unless it makes more sense to carry it around with me anyway, though that would mean a very rectangular bag or an awkward backpack, neither of which would be ideal.

I'm really looking forward to it - Scottishes, we should probably arrange to meet on the train/at the station, so a swapping of mobile numbers would probably be handy.

Is it 4 scotches?

Just thinking, as we're all in different seats, it would probably be a good idea to head straigh to Coach H and grab a table (coach H is the one with the buffet thing in it and the seats are never reserved).

So may be a good idea to meet there, first person there grab a table and guard it with yer life!

My mobile is 07768 937 137 if anyone needs it.

How many Scottishes are coming? I'm going to bring you a bow and arrow each to see if anyone decides to lawfully kill you when we're within the city walls.

It is:
Me
Kos
Boff (not techincally a Scottish, but we'll let him away with it)
Craig

It's possible that Craig and I have ended up with reservations for the same seat, but we can worry about that at the time. Kos - your idea of nabbing a table in coach H sounds like a good-un - no doubt we shall all meet up on the platform.

Well me and kenny are sitting next to each other so maybe you should meet us there!

And Mouse, I am not actually Scottish so you can't shoot me.

Oh, and do you do ickle guitar bits? I could do with a couple of roller string retainers for my telecaster (the ickle fings on the headstock), and will pay you handsomely for them if you've got any.

Could do, but t'other seats round about you will be reserv-ed too.

My reservation is for the same carriage, i think, but the other end. I could wave, but sharing the beer I was gonna bring might be more problematic...

Oh well - I'll have to timetable some time into my busy timetable to go to one of my local friendly suppliers guitar of bits some time.

Yes, do that. Shop local, stay focal.

Or get them from here.

Shall we arrange a meet at Queen Street sir?

To: craig (CHARTLEY) 378 of 518
Yes! We've got to get to Edinbugger by 10:30, so I'd suggest the 9:15 from Queen Street is a good bet - it gets in at 10:06, which gives us a bit of leeway for it being late. There's also ones at 9 or half 9.

If this week's anything to go by, the 9.15 will probably not get you to Edinburgh until about Tuesday. (fail)

I will be there. I will need directions.

What is the temperature there today? I should pack.

:O :D

Follow Mouse's map. You might have to ignore the bit where Google tells you to swim the Atlantic.

:D

It was about 10°C today, and could be about the same on Saturday.

Are you still in Canada land? Where will you be coming from/to?

Hooray!

It's about 10C in Edinburgh today, and about 12C in London. York is roughly halfway between, so using my amazing scientific weather forecasting skills I reckon it's about 11C in York.
