Well I was planning on getting there via York too!

I thought you were joking about the Leeds thing :{

Anyway, as people have said, the Scottish contingent will be travelling south from Scotland to York, but not going as far as Leeds (what with York being north of Leeds and all).

Where's a good meeting place in York? The last time I was there, I was more worried about archers than finding pubs.

Sorry, I think I assume everyone has to go via Leeds to get to anywhere. Sorry, getting a bit excited.

Right, me and Dyl have figured out that we will get the same train, him leaving Sheffield at 11:21 and me and hopefully Steve getting on at Leeds at 12:09 which puts us getting into York for 12:32. The nearest pub is a shortish walk, The Maltings. Which is good I reckon, but we wont be able to stay there cos it's tiny.

Steve, you alright getting on the 12:09 from Leeds? Could meet for breakfast and Guiness in Leeds Wetherspoons before if you fancied it? :D

I will be in carriage C of the 11:21 from Sheffield, which is also the 11:52 from Wakefield and the 12:09 from Leeds, arriving in York at 12:32.

(like what Mouse said)

Me (and my wonderful other half, Amy) will be arriving into York station at 12:19pm on the dot.

£18 return each :D Rock on old fashioned locomotion.

MR KENNY,
I'm looking to get the tickets, and it's all /really confusing/ :@
Was it you who said that it works out cheaper to buy tickets from the station? I can't remember. I'm all confused :C

Thank your

It might be cheaper to get tickets at the station, depending on whether the person on the other side of the glass is nice and helpful or useless, cynical and bitter.

You're coming from London, right?
Probably best to get them from thetrainline.com ... :P

Ignore Kenneth, get them from the GNER website - same as the trainline.com but cheaper.

Really?

I did not know that. In future, I'll have to shop around.

(random thing - I got my oven for 20 quid cheaper from Dixons website than it was on Currys website, even though it was delivered by a Currys van, and the invoice was a Currys invoice. Plus I got 20 quid off a crate of wine.)

Sounds like an excellent idea to me, Mr. Mouse.

Bearing in mind that this is my first pub-crawl in York, where abouts is the Maltings in relation to the train station exactly?
