Teh Hosting 2007

Due to the wonders of modern banking with it's instant nature and all that crap... a flood of four payments have come through thus far.

Will check again on Monday evening and hopefully more payments will have made it through the gauntlett of the retarded systems by then.

Also I've checked the TradeDoubler affiliate stuff and that's gone up to about £77.

So, current total is £197, and with the payments still to come I don't think we'll have a problem reaching the £421.51 - wouldn't be surprised if it goes over even, and obviously if it does we can put the excess towards next years fees, after paying for my drugs and women. :)

It's a shame we can't have a proper Hosting donation option that we can chip into through out the year, and where we can see a total of how much is in teh kitty. Like some site have when they're collecting for hosting, but I suspect that that's done manually by someone :(

Hmm... maybe we could rig something up using PayPal, or something?

No idea? I'm not sure how it's done on other site, wether it's manual or automatic but I have seen a few site with a hosting donations section with a Target and current amount, but like I said it's probably updated manually rather than automagically.

It would be cool if we could though, then we could see where we stand all year round and not have to scrabble around at the end of the 12months. Although I bet no one would chip in till the last minute then either :P

Can do that easily and automatically if we went through a payment service provider, but obviously they would take a fee.

Might be viable if anyone has a fixed monthly fee one, that we could piggy back on, though I suspect they'll generally be charged per transaction.

I shall donate on Tuesday when I'm next near a bank.
