Happy to do weekend just thought people were more likely to want to go out drinking on the weekend

The good thing about weekends is that it could be Teh GAME AFTERNOON... which admittably doesn't have the same ring to it, but with the 5..8hr American time difference, it gives from ~4pm GMT onwards.

Of course, this is assuming that US/CA people do want to join in, but I think at least a couple probably will.

I'm certainly up for it if I'm around. Poker, anyone? Or indeed, pokehim?

I still play CS:S :(

I used to love the big games of IL2 we had back in the day.

Then play Airfix Dogfighter; it's just like IL2.
(This may be a lie)

IL-2 games were great fun, I never played another game online as much as that one. Trying to restart it could be 'interesting' given all the patches and data discs, unless that 1946 release ties it all up maybe?

I've just got IL 1946 from my mate Jim, I think I still have the torrent.

Can I play that with my 360 joypad or do I need a proper flying joystick thingy?

I used to play Airfix Dogfighter quite a bit when it was out. It's nothing like IL-2 though, I mean you can't blow up a real airfield on there with crayola crayons.

You can do, sure. It might be a bit tricky (it's tricky on a proper joystick for a long time while you learn).

I can see Fozza being the mid-air cannon fodder.

Oh and apparently IL-2 1946 contains every IL-2 game, expansion and patch (apart from the few patches after its release) in one DVD disc game, all together in one install.

And I still haven't bought a new joystick. I tried IL2 1946 with the keyboard and mouse, which was terrible.

Wow that's Less than £12 on Amazon.

If people are serious about this then I will get it.

What joystick is worth buying for it?

Did you used to have one of those Wigwam Ice-creams?

Aye, I think we all had the same model. The rudder control fucked up and wouldn't stay calibrated. The rudder would twitch left and rightall the time making flying in a straightline impossible.

Mine was always fine. I think I must've got an earlier batch that had less cost-cutting or something. Made me look dead good at recommending, that did :(

To be fair I probably played it to death. It was a great stick for the price.
