Winter CD Project:

Each and everyone of you list 2 tunes you would like to have on a CD that reminds you of winter.

I will choose one of them for a Teh Forum Winter CD.

it's not winter.

Mine would be Wizards In Winter by The Trans Siberian Orchestra (that song off the cool Christmas lights vid) and The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth by Bowie and Crosby.

I only have the original radio edits 'cause I missed the Carl Cox Xmas Funky Mix 2004 Sessions. Sorry.

That doesn't stop the Christmas decorations being up in some shops around here beside the Halloween stuff (including a huuge Tesco).

What is your 'wrath'? Will you scrape some back fungus into an envelope and send it my way? Revolting.

Perhaps he'll send you a mouldy potato from down the back of his sofa.

I'd add Fude - A Leaf, A Plant, A Snowflake to that list (downloadable for free here as part of the Secrets EP). Probably Mansun - Wide Open Space as well.

Ooh fuck Manson. What a fantastic come down Album. The sound scapes, church bells and englishness quantness of it all.......

Erm, what do the clocks go forward?

About time you got your shiznit together with this project Trig, it being possibly the only good idea you've had in your life.

My two tracks are Falling Snowflakes by Chris Cozens (bit of an obscurity: I can always email it or upload it to a file sharing server) and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by The Pretenders.

I think we should rise to the challenge of NOT including Fairytale of New York.

Only cos it's probably the best Christmas track ever committed to vinyl* but is rapidly becoming part of the canon of just-about-tolerable-christmas-songs-that-have-been-reduced-to-cliche-cos-they've-been-played-to-death.

I'm close to doing that with the Pretenders track, which still gives me a warm and fuzzy enema every time I play it.

Classic Trig: one good idea and he huffs his way out of a place in the hearts of all.

Any kind (and slightly less frantically busy than me) soul up for taking over the task?
