Ooh fuck, FA got lucky cause of idiot Lucizi stalling at turn 1.
But, MS did make a mistake at turn 8.

Come on REDS.

12 points in front for the BLUES.

They handed second to Alonso on a plate! How stupid can you be to make MS queue behind Massa in the pits to effectively say "Here Alonso, have second from Schumi". (fail)

Ferrari plan of action :

Que both in pits.
MS pass FA at next put stop.
PM slows down to give MS 1st.

1st - MS
2nd - PM
3rd - FA

IE: They couldnt afford not to take points away from FA.

Would have been a good day for Ferrari.

But no, MS lost 4 secs when he lost it in the fast turn 8.

So, thats that. FA wins WDC.

How about pit one car then pit the other the next lap and hope he gets out ahead. At least there's a chance of holding both cars positions. Queueing in the pits just handed it to Alonso.

As opposed to MS just being better and winning it by himself of course.

Safety car was out you plumb.

So your senario: MS pits before PM. MS comes out in 1st place. Alonso pits same time as MS. Both positions are same before pits stop.
Safety car still out.
PM pits. Comes out last, behind everyone that has pitted on last lap before him.

Hahaha Schumacher!

Ferrari fucked it up two races on the trot throwing away a potential 9 points.

Well done to Alonso for proving [once again] that he's more than capable of beating Schumacher ON THE TRACK.

Schumacher could not pass Alonso.

:D

No, he could not pass Alonso.

At all.

He was behind him for what? 13 laps to the end? Imola revisited...

Put Alonso behind Schumacher and he breezes past. On the outside. x2 TBH

Time for Michael to hang up his boots.

And not before time IMHO.

:O)

Should be making some sort of announcement at Monza; hopefully it'll be along the lines of: "I've sucked for a while now, and it's only the vastly superior car (until last year) and cough-team-orders-cough that hid the fact for so long. I certainly can't stay at Ferrari on equal terms with a quality driver like Raikonnen who would show me up for the shitstain I am, so I'm going to slink off to my mansion by the lake and remember that season at Benetton when I actually earned the respect. 'Kthxbye."

I reckon he'll leave it another couple of races until he's tried to ram Alonso off a few times. Just for old times sake.

Yeah, he might as well run down the pits in furious anger to land one on DC.

As for this year's F1, looks like every Grand Prix locations are becoming personal playgrounds for Hamilton and Rosberg. They have been taking turns on the number 1 spot. I say tey are neck and neck for the F1 drivers championship but I can say Hamilton is on the lead. Let's see..

I didn't know we had an F1 thread! :D

Anyone still watching it, or has the turgid processional, formulaic nature of the beast turned everyone off?

The latest outing in Austria had a crash. That was exciting.

I would've guessed that EP started this thread, but I would've guessed wrong.

I wonder how he's doing.

Car racing is the 2nd dullest spectator sport, after golf.
