What is a "bad text/keyboard virus" ?

Can't you sort it out over the internet? I do not want you to come round.

You'd want to come from Scotland to Yorkshire to fix my computer? My great uncle rings from London for support sometimes, I've always managed to sort him out over the phone without having to hop on the coach down the smokesville.

I don't getcha.

Of course the question is whether you'd /want't/ to give Trig nice free access to your machine of course!

How often do you use that then?

Is it becoming more and more used these days. Well in your IT environment anyways?

VNC is, yes. Or at least we use it a lot here. When you work in a big 5 storey building with lots of off-site offices too it's dead handy being able to just control the desktop of any PC within seconds.

To: UNITRIGGER (TRIGGERUNI) 33 of 40

No, VNC is a program for controlling one PC from another PC.

And, more to the point, how /do/ you put an animated gif of Charlotte Church's breasts on your desktop?

A recent one our IT guy told me.

One of the other depots were charging an electric fork lift truck off the separate server room mains circuit and wondering why things were tripping out.

That was after they were using about 5 extentions to go outside and power the lights in a pond off the server room mains circuit, also surprised when things tripped.
