Just found that you can disable it in Firefox.
Put about:config in the address bar, type "blink" in the filter box, and change the blink_allowed setting to false.
Yay.

I decided that the repair was well-nigh invisible and that I wouldn't tell them. I felt a bit guilty about it, but I decided I'll replace it if ever begins to show.
