Too busy giving the local newspaper their best ever headline?

Are those menus supposed to be flashing? :S

From cracked balls to magic wands - Mr Manthrob never ceases to amaze me. That sounds quite smart though - wonder if Mr M's thought about a launch party yet...

I was wondering that too. I can't believe anyone did that on purpose as it's the most annoying thing I've ever seen on the web. Well, one of them.

I'm obviously missing something here, because I can't see any flashing menus :s

What browser are you using?

They flash in FF.
In IE there's a JS error.

Now that's the kind of art-faggery I can get on board with.

Will there be a version where I can raze Liverpool to the ground?

>MOUSE> They made a classic balls of the story. I said that we believed that the map would be the most complex UT map ever made, and through the power of press hyperbole it was transmogrified into the most complex game of all time.

The story in the paper was accompanied by an unfortunate shot of my aged self looking strangely pensive, as if wondering whether the sun was over the yardarm yet.

>KENNY> I hope to launch it on the new big screen in Bradford city centre, which should be up and running well before the game is finished. One of the spawn points is going to be directly in front of the screen, so that should give it a nice Alice-in-wonderland quality.

The 'Alsop Wand' is in reality, of course, an Alsop Gun, but I don't want to offend the delicate sensibilities of some of the project funders, so extremely gun-like wands they will remain for the time being.

Strange to tell, but when Bradford was being a little slow in coming forward with the moolah, we had a sly approach from Birmingham - heaven knows how they had found out about the project, which was seriously under wraps at the time - asking if we wanted to relocate it and offering to fund it.

If it didn't use the Unreal engine, thus effectively prohibiting commercial exploitation, I'd say it was a very sellable project.

IE6, no JS error reported.

So I checked it in Opera. Holy shit! It appears that all links (not just those in menus) are flashing. That is very very unpleasant.

Somebody needs to take two of Andy's bricks to the web designer's nads!

IE doesn't support the CSS1 'text-decoration: blink', just like it doesn't support the BLINK tag.

At least MS got something right! :|

I've just sent in some feedback about it. If enough people complain, hopefully they'll fix it...

Just found that you can disable it in Firefox.
Put about:config in the address bar, type "blink" in the filter box, and change the blink_allowed setting to false.
Yay.

The "The most complex game of all time" did make my eyebrows raise. That photo of you looked a bit like you had just been told off by someone :D

Oh yeah, the old 'I don't read it myself, but I might know someone who does' ploy. Very original ;P
