I'm now about 80% of the way through it on my PDA, and not only has it just helped me cope with an evening of 4 teenage metal bands to the point of me hardly even noticing they were there, but it's a superb book all round.

:-) Ta Dyl. I really must have another stab at getting it published. It's just so disheartening when you get knocked back.

You can illustrate /now/. But I won't ask you to proof-read ;-)

And Truff, you can have the film rights for a bottle of spanish brandy.

Have you ever thought of publishing it yourself? (Not sure how realistic that idea is, mind)

www.lulu.com

Nice self-publishing print-on-demand company, could publish it through them for just a % of the profits with no other fees. Shipping is a bit pricey though.

(& Empathy)

I've always been a bit wary of self-publishing. I know there are honest and honourable ways through it, but I wouldn't want to slip into the cul-de-sac of vanity publishing. I've thought about e-publishing, too, but don't know enough about it, or who the respectable publishers are.

But surely any self-publishing is going to be vanity-publishing?

EDIT: Even if you do it without these "Publish Your Own Book" firms, which I've just worked out you were talking about.
