The life of a retiree, eh? :-Y
And to reiterate the theme of how long teh forum has been around, and who is still logging on, the son I'm driving back to Hastings on Saturday joined this place about 14 years ago now and did some semi-deliberate trolling at the grand old age of 12.
And embarrassed me a bit.
He will be enjoying a long weekend with some time away from the insurance company he works for. In Hastings.
What route are you driving? Taking a detour?
My lazy grammar. He is spending time in Worthing before I drive him back to Hastings, where he works (for an insurance company).
A very direct insurance company?
One of the first times I've been able to enjoy the bank holiday weekend for some time. A lot of companies in Aberdeen don't respect the Easter holiday, hence even though the company I directly work for does respect it, the company I'm sub-contracted to didn't (in Scotland at least) - hence me working Friday and Monday, but at least being paid triple-time for it.
This year, I've been promoted and am now no longer site-based. And as my company is based in England and does do Easter, hence I'm currently putting my feet up and procrastinating a bit - seeing as I've got a shitload of paperwork to sort out for moving house next month...
My office does an extra public holiday elsewhere in the year, and only get one day off at Easter. It's supposed to be Good Friday, but I'm working today taking Monday off instead. The advantage of this is that the office is pretty quiet - there's only five of us in. To celebrate, I'm planning to make mojitos at Mojito O'clock for those who want them. We normally do Beer O'Clock on a Friday afternoon, but making mojitos seemed like a far more sensible course of action.
