It's a totally different thing to the Rift, I thought. It's more of a HUD than a full-immersion headset. Hopefully it'll work well, because it does look quite cool, but I'd want to wait to see what people can persuade it to do.
I like it. Well, the theory of it anyway. The Oculus Rift is very cool, but I find the idea of people strapped into total immersion headsets utterly unnerving. This hybrid of real life and augmented idea sits much better with me, but that might just be me being a technophobe.
I can't wait to try one in real life.
Boo. Changed it. Really ought to fix the redirect on that old domain some day. Some day...
Hello! Long time no see. I saw a post on a site by a guy named 'beseku' and thought "Hey, he was on teh! Wow, I haven't been there in forever". So here I am.
Sadly, he isn't. But still.
Yeah, not seen him on here for a long time either, though he's on Twitter and I follow him on that so I still feel like we're connected. Although I just checked and he doesn't follow me, the scumbag :-@
Well I just followed you, and I'll be a better beseku than beseku could ever be!
Or something.
Hoorah! So you're in NYC, I see. That sounds like fun.
(Ooh, Beehive has a mobile view now. *Nice*)
NYC is indeed fun! Been here around six years now, so it's all quite normal now. My one regret is that I've never lived in London - if I'd known I was moving to NYC a year in advance I would have packed my bags for London, but alas I didn't have that notice.
Are you still in London? Doing.. football display things, if I recall?
