I like this idea better than the approach Oculous and the others are taking. The main point for me was the unit is self contained. It doesn't need to be tethered to a phone or PC or have any wires. Although they didn't say how battery life is. They also said it will be released within the Windows 10 timeframe, but who knows what that really means? It's more of a HUD than a full-immersion headset. Well, the theory of it anyway. The Oculus Rift is very cool, but I find the idea of people strapped into total immersion headsets utterly unnerving.
